“MADE IN FILO”: HOW FILO FABRICS ARE CREATED

An unprecedented, ambitious project, unique in the international trade fair landscape: “Made in Filo,” the fabric collection that Filo has decided to produce, starting with materials provided by exhibitors and drawing on the textile inspirations of Nexus, the product development proposals developed for Filo65.
In this video, Fabric Designer Rossano Bisio guides us through the process of creating the “Made in Filo” collection, highlighting how each “blanket” of fabric is a truly tangible expression of the textile inspirations drawn from the three textile themes that comprise Nexus.
The 65th edition of Filo will take place on Wednesday, February 11th and Thursday, February 12th, 2026, at Fiera Milano Rho – Hall 5, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on the first day and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on the second.

MADE IN FILO: SPINNING MILLS’ VIEW

The third “Made in Filo” collection will be on display at Filo65, an initiative that engages all Filo players in a virtuous journey. The spinning mills stand out in this context, providing the textile materials that, thanks to expert craftsmanship, are then transformed into the “Made in Filo” fabrics collection. But what do the spinning mills expect from participating in the “Made in Filo” project? Today Alberto Enoch of Servizi e Seta provides the answer.

“MADE IN FILO”: FROM THE YARN TO THE FABRIC

With “Made in Filo,” Filo has launched a unique initiative in the panorama of international textile fairs, with a clear goal: to show to Filo visitors the development potential of the materials exhibited at the fair. To achieve this, Filo has taken on the challenging task of “going into production itself,” a task not easily achieved by a fair. The result is a capsule collection of fabric samples created from materials provided by exhibitors, which particularly emphasizes the technical aspects of both the yarns used and the processes employed.
It is an ambitious project, which, together with Filo, has involved exhibitors and several partner companies. The “Made in Filo” collection will be exhibited at the 64th edition of Filo, scheduled for September 23 and 24, 2025, at Fiera Milano Rho – Hall 14.

“MADE IN FILO”: SPINNING MILLS TAKE THE FLOOR

Spinning mills are the protagonists of “Made in Filo.” While the starting point – the inspirations – are Filo’s product development proposals, collected for Filo64 in “Vice-Versa“, the interpretation given by the yarn producers exhibiting at Filo is equally significant in the construction of “Made in Filo.” That’s why it’s important to listen to their voices, their opinions on the initiative, and what results they expect from participating in a unique project in the international textile trade fair landscape. Below, we publish the third and last part of the interviews with the companies that participated in the project.

DYEING AND FINISHING COMPANIES FOR FILO CAPSULE COLLECTION

The success of the Filo Capsule Collection – which from the September edition takes the name of “Made in Filo” – is largely due to the fact of being a “team effort”, which combined Filo’s expertise with the support of the exhibitors for the project. Not only the spinners, but also the dyeing and finishing were protagonists in the creation of the fabric samples, which during Filo63 stood out for the excellence of the materials and the workmanship. Among dyeing and finishing, a key role was played by long standing exhibitors of Filo: here in the words of Marco Bardelle ( – Tintoria Finissaggio 2000), Francesco Ferraris (Managing Director – Finissaggio and Tintoria Ferraris) and Adolfo Marchetti (General Manager – Iride) explain their approach to the project launched by Filo.
