An excellent record for the first edition of Filo Shanghai

The first edition of Filo Shanghai, held from 13 to 15 October at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, Hall 6.2, aisle N, recorded a very positive outcome.

Filo participated in the Asian event within Milano Unica, in a dedicated space with its own entrance and trend area.

Great satisfaction with the results achieved at the first edition of Filo Shanghai was expressed by the seven companies which took part in it: Davifil, Filatura C4, Filatura Pettinata Luisa 1966, Ghezzi, Monvania, Ongetta, Servizi e Seta.

Indeed, the Asian buyers showed a keen interest in made in Italy yarns and highly appreciated the proposals of the Italian companies exhibiting with Filo in Shanghai.

On these grounds, Filo will further foster the “Shanghai project” with the aim of increasing the number of participating companies. The target is, in fact, to provide the Asian markets with a survey increasingly representative of made in Italy yarn production, as well as to strengthen the image and visibility of Filo companies within YarnExpo.

Paolo Monfermoso, Filo manager, affirms: “The seven companies which took part in the first edition of Filo Shanghai confirmed the positive outcome of the fair in line with their expectations. The Asian buyers showed a great interest in their collections, and the way was paved for future business collaborations. The presence of Filo in Shanghai within Milano Unica has, therefore, re-confirmed the validity of our commitment to an increased collaboration between Italian trade fairs on foreign markets because it enables us to show the strengths of the various links in the Italian supply chain and represents the feather in the cap of quality and style of the made in Italy textile and fashion system. This belief is strongly backed by the Deputy Minister Carlo Calenda, and indeed Filo Shanghai project could only be started thanks to the support of the Ministry of Economic Development, Ice Agency, Milano Unica and the Italian Fashion System”.
