There are a number of small and medium-sized European companies – above all Italian – that produce goods with a significant design component. They are  he target of a call for bid of the European Union aimed at overcoming the commercialization and scaling-up obstacles.

The European Union has called for a bid addressing small and medium-sized companies in various sectors – inter alia textile, clothing, leather and fur, footwear, bags and accessories. The aim is to increase their creativity and innovation and to improve their global competitiveness while filling the gap between research and marketing.

The projects shall have a term of maximum 33 months and minimum 12 months. The fund amounts to over 11 million euros. All interested companies shall address the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (http://ec.europa.eu/easme/).
