47th edition of Filo: a new cooperation with the Municipality of Milan
The 47th edition of Filo opens today February 22, 2017 in the context of the conference “Filo 4.0: innovation and digitalization as key factors for the growth of businesses”, organised by Filo in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency and Sistema Moda Italia.
Among conference’s speakers is Cristina Tajani, Councillor of The Municipality of Milan for Employment, Economic Development, Fashion and Design. Tajani explains here the reason why she has decided to be present at the inauguration of the 47th edition of Filo:
“Hosting in our city Filo, the international exhibition of yarns and fibres for weaving, apparel, and furniture, represents an opportunity to increase the number of professional players of the fashion world. They are the same players who find in Milan and in its chances the best international showcase and the right place where to present their collections.”
Councillor Tajani adds: “Together with Filo, we want to launch a new cooperation, developing the synergies the Municipality has been building with all the main players of the Italian fashion industry in the last years. The aim is to give Milan the international leadership in the textile-fashion system it deserves. Because we believe that our city is the only place in the world where the international professionals can have a complete overview of the whole production chain, from yarns to end products”.
The 47th edition of Filo takes place on February 22-23, 2017 at the Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan (corso Magenta 61).
